The current BLUEZONE is the biggest event with the best lineup ever since its inception. Well over 120 leading international denim & sportswear brands will be exhibiting their latest fabric innovations beyond seasons – in many cases already translated into trendsetting finished products with novel finishes and washes.

“The Focus is on conceptual approaches revolving around surface denim, new rigid denim, low-impact finishes – complemented by processes involving gentler chemicals and by smart denim boasting novel functionalities.”

Panos Sofianos, Denim Curator BLUEZONE

Due to high demand the outdoor spaces around BLUEZONE will be used as additional exhibition space thereby enhancing the already very intense business atmosphere even further. In addition to the again fully booked exhibition halls the BLUEZONE Festival held for the first time will provide both denim insiders and denim lovers with unique brands and products at the heart of the Bluezone – the Blue Yard.

In a street festival atmosphere the exhibits will revolve around new technologies, new heritage, vintage showrooms, around communication and networking about how to handle the latest process solutions. Experience. Enjoy. Connect.

In keeping with this electrifying lifestyle atmosphere the overriding leitmotif will be PERPETUUM BLUE – synonymous with all things constantly in motion… something that keeps on moving once set in motion. This is how parallel universes emerge: High Fashion vs No-Fashion, Futurist vs Realist, Individualist vs Pluralist.

PERPETUUM BLUE is impressively interpreted and visualized by hands-on product and mood installations in the Denim-Concept-Zone.

“Here we aim to create a forum for the most innovative and future-proof products and processes. The denim concept zone has succeeded in providing this overview in an impressive manner. It is about more than just trends but about the representation and needs of individual target groups, about lifestyle, consumer habits and societal change.”

Tilmann Wröbel, Monsieur-T.

The agenda additionally featured high-calibre panel discussions, forums and lectures at the Denim Club in Hall 7.
